Dank Open Source.

Designed by the Flowers Lab at Inria Bordeaux and Ensta ParisTech (France) Poppy is an affordable and hackable humanoid robot for science, education, art and geeks. Both software and hardware are available under an open source licence.
There is a huge need for research on the causes of bee deaths. Open Source Beehives is a project to monitor and track the health and behavior of bee colonies. Watch the really cool video and the further video below.

Hello
my name is Lars. I am an artist and work a lot on open source hardware these days and for a while now. And I have a collaboration/feedback request.
Background: the owi project I work on is about „open source for an ecological economy“. The idea: informations about products have to be open to arrange a circular flow and waste free economy. So for this project I will have to convince people to open up their products. Thinking about that I discovered, that I would have to explain to them how to do that. And so I came up with the idea of a simple manual – an open source it manual – that could do the job and just publish it.
Dauert 42 Minuten:
Zu Tabby gibt’s auch einen Spiegel-Artikel.
Farm Hack is an open source community for resilient agriculture. They develop, build, and document tools which are easy to use and maintain. Compared to Open Source Ecology Farm Hack seems to follow a broader networking approach involving more people.
